We meet Kavieng Cheng, a multidisciplinary artist from Hong Kong whose practice flows between the roles of artist, art director, curator, and fashion photographer. For Kavieng, these are not separate professions but shifting lenses through which she interrogates reality—art as a phenomenological mode of existence, a continuous practice of sensing the world and questioning the given. Her work operates as an archaeology of the micro-psychological, drawn to the pre-linguistic realm: gestures that occur before words form, tensions held in the body, and fragmented moments that escape the conscious filter. We founded u1 Gallery in October 2022 to connect art lovers from all over the world. During the COVID-19 pandemic, hosting or attending exhibitions became difficult for many. To overcome this challenge, we decided to create a virtual space that breaks the barriers of time and location.

With this vision in mind, we reached out to a diverse group of artists, and we were thrilled by their enthusiastic response. As a result, audiences from around the globe have been able to enjoy the artists' works and engage in meaningful conversations. This experience has only deepened our belief in the power of art to connect people.
